If you have all the parts needed and the time ........only a 6 or a 7 on the tuffometer . Chryco PS I went from a auto to a 4 spd. in my 69 Bee' . I had a complete 68 Sport Satellite "donor "car was surprisingly easy and way more fun to drive. That was around 20 years ago now.The reverse would be easier.

It would be a complete bolt together deal. I don't see it as very difficult.

It takes a Mopar to catch a Mopar.

when putting in the trans hump, don't use long sheet metal screws.

you need a bracket welded to the frame rail to support the outer part of the z bar and allow it to pivot.......a large washer with the correct size hole would prob work

Lots of special apploication parts to gather. They are also not very common, expensive if you want originals, and expensive to buy repro with questionable quality. I am in the middle of gathering all the stuff to do a '70 Dart right now.

mike, i think i have most of what you need (minus the trans) in a box somewhere........i also have a 383 flywheel with a fresh cut and a blowproof bell. not positive on the bell. if you are serious i can make the effort to see what i have........ i had the z bar support bracket, but gave it away. i may be able to get it back, i dont think its being used

One thing not to overlook is the pilot hole in the back of the crank. If the crank came from a factory with a automatic then most likely the crank will need to be drilled out to except the input shaft from the 4 speed. Eric

I was thinking about doing it to mine, but I drive around all day shifting my 6 spd Cummins in traffic and that gets old after a while. Plus I knew what kind of a maniac I could become (again) with a manual trans; not good! But there's nothing like a good powered A body and a 4 hooker though. There are times I miss not having the 4 spd in the Road Runner.. a BB and a 4 gear... WOOOO HOOOOO!
