I am curious what 10.5" 23 spline clutch are other members running. I like the centerforce twin disc set up also the McLoed 10.95" for the 130 tooth flywheel. Does anyone like the Hays 10.5" street strip? Is the Centerforce overly complicated and a pain to set up? I have a stock '70 aluminum 10.5" bellhousing. The car is a '70 dart stock weight with a 400 with maybe 400+ horse and 4.10 gears

I've never installed a Centerforce on a Mopar, but I've done a few chevies and a Mazda. They're no different than any other to set up. They do hold good.
On my 69 Charger, I always ran a McLeod. Loved it. I'll be using the dual disc on the roadrunner.

I had a Center Force clutch on my 86 Laser. It worked great; but I think there's a little bit of a power/torque descepancy here though.  In my RR, when the 4 spd was in it and it did street duty as well as battle at the track, I had the Hi pef lining on the flywheel side and ceramic pucks on the pressure plate side. It was civil but if you needed it to hold... it would! I got several broken U joints and one axle (romped off the clutch at 4000 RPM  ) trying to cut a light) to prove it. That was a 10.5 clutch too. You don't need a double disc clutch to get holding power, unless you're making gobs and gobs of power. Even the diesel clutches don't get doubles until they're upwards of 600 HP (PU type) or near 1000ft/lbs of torque (semi trucks)

Don't waste your time or money with the Hayes street/strip clutch if you are going to put slicks on your car. I made five passes with a brand new one in my Duster and it started slipping. The car run 11.50's so it isn't anything too crazy. After doing that a couple of times, I went to a 727 and a 4200 stall 9" Dynamic converter.

I have 325-50-15 mickey thompson street drag radials and a 4.10 dana. The 400 has 9.5 to 1 compression and I hope will make better than 400 horse. It will be mostly street driven with the occasional run to the local track. I am leaning towards the McCloed at this point.
