Hi all , excuse me for the disturbance and my pitiful américan but this is my question , récently y see this part ..... ..... and the question , what is the utility of this part ? I see the fonction ( doing a offset at the header) but After hard reflection (  ) for what problem at the origine ? Thanks , Tof

are you sure that they're not offset bellhousing dowels? Those have a use. Can't see a use for offset head dowels.

Offset cylinder head dowels are used to properly locate the combustion chamber over the cylinder. Factory tolerances can be way off the mark sometimes so do not take anything for granted.

if the are for the "b" motor heads they are to move the heads to place the valves more in the center on the bore. this way you can get a bigger valve in the heads and have less strouding at the edges of the chamber, like the sm blk moper has. if the are for the bellhousing they are to center it to the crank. this is especially helpful in a clutch car.
