Gary, One name always comes up when talking about stocker cams. If he is still around, try Chris Padgett at Comp Cams, He used to be the "go to guy" at Lunati for stocker grinds. Wouldn't hurt to talk to him while Racer Brown is working on your cam.

There has been a change and not for the good at Isky.
A number of years agoI had an issue with a cam I bought from Isky. I couldn't get the car to rev past about 4000RPM. I had degreed teh cam and everything. I called them up to see what they could do for me and I ended up pulling the cam out, tagging all the lifters and sending teh whole shebag to them to test in one of their mule engines. Long story short, the cam was fine and the dizzy was andvancing to max at the start of the engine limiting how much advance it had left. Not their fault but they still cared enough back then to do all that. I had another issue with a pair of heads trying to get the installed spring heights right. After my second trip out there to Isky, I finally gave up and decided to just work on them there because I kept needing different shims and was sick and tired of starting and stopping. With heads in hand and my service truck's air supply, I hung out in the loby and got them squared away. I met Ed while I was there in the loby who thought, rather surprisingly, that I was being so meticulous about what I was doing and commended me on that. That goes along way when your young and stubborn about what you're doing. Glowing reviews right? Well, I called there not that long ago to get some rocker arms for another project and I was told, in no uncertian terms, that they don't do those any more and to call Crane. I was calling them because I didn't want Crane rockers; I wanted theirs. Hughe's Engines got the next call. Sometimes the son taking over the business ruins everything Dad worked so hard for. In one shining case, I can honestly say, is not the case is at Keith Black Racing. When I got my block, if I asked a question and he, the Son, didn't know or wanted more info he took me, ME - a nobody, out to talk with the engineer/machinist and get an answer. This happened a few times as I was deciding what options I needed and what wsn't needed. Absolutely the best experience I've had in this "race" realm. Indy could take, normally I'd say, "a few..." but in their case, I'll have to say, "a bunch" of lessons from them on how to treat customers.
Another disclaimer; I don't work for any of these companies, but I do know what I like and what works for me and I'll recommend that kind of service everytime!

Don't know much about Isky but I can say Jim @ Racer Brown is a fantastic guy and will work with you to get you the best product and doesn't seem to mind how many dumb questions you ask. I went with one of his cams awhile back and it works great. I'd recommend Jim @ Racer Brown to anyone.
