Mopar Purple Shaft identification
« on: July 16, 2008, 01:21:02 PM »

I know it is a long shot but I have a new purple camshaft and have no idea what it is. The only number which is stamped on the end of the rear journal is 990246. Between the lobes has SGH58 stamped. Part of the shaft is painted purple. Any ideas?

how about this. measure the total cam lobe with a dial caliper and multiply be 1.5. that will give you total lift at the valve then go to the mopar book and see which one it is.
