i have to replace the outer halfs of my wheel tubs and im going to mini tub it also, so my question is can i build the stock tubs with the mini tub strip added to the tubs out of the car then weld it in. i know it would take some trial fitting. this way i coild grind the welds down and prep it before it goes into the car.

i think the only problem would be the trunk hinges...they mount to the inner fender wells, so if they were out of the way then i don't see a problem, but it would take a TON of measuring to make it fit properly, but you would still have to grind and prep one weld along the inside, so why not do both inside, and make sure they fit, because mine were no picnic inside the thing, it would take me forever to do it outside the car...but maby im a little slower than everyone else...

I did my tubs right out of the car but had to keep fitting them in thecar to make everything line up. I but welded a 3 inch strip between the inner and outer wheel tub, on the side of the pinch weld that faces the inside of the car. As far as the trunk hinges where they fell i grafted them to the tubs, no problems so far.
