Those ones from US car tool that are contoured to fit floor are cool. If you are not cuttin up the floor that's what I would go with

i made mine like in the tech forums...i didnt have to cut the florr boards or anything but i have a '72, so i dunno if the floor pans/frame is any difference...the square tubing i used touches the floor board, and bows it up a little, but its right under the seat, so maby no will notice

 Here's mine. Cost about $35 to make. And a 6 pack!! They're bent ever so slightly to follow the floor's contour. codfish
