« on: July 19, 2008, 02:44:36 PM »

Hi guys,

I 13.0 to 13.5 OK for WOT? My 440 engine makes the most power at 13.0-13.5 or should i set it to 12.5 A/F ? It makes about 30 HP less at 12.5 what should i set it at?

                                         Thanks,Brian.B.

As long as the plugs look good with no speckling and you're not detonating, you can leave it where it is.  The ideal WOT A/F ratio is 12.9:1, but no two engines are the same and cam overlap plays a big part.  I can see the HP dropping off if you go to 12.5:1 but that's actually a big change.  If it's happy there, without causing any problems, go for it.
