Hey guys, I have some tapping rocker arms and they are annoying me to death. What would be a good upgrade for rocker arms that I wouldn't have to do any machine work? Motor is an LA 360 warmed over with a larger cam ported J-heads with 2.02 vavles. Or should I just do a stock replacement? Thinking the shafts are probably galled and the movement side to side is about an 1/8".
I'm using Comp Cams steel, roller tipped, magnums on my SB with a Hyd cam. I know of others using aluminum rockers for street duty but I'm letting the wife drive this so I want to be extra safe. The less I get the more I'm going to look like. I have had noises with aftermarket rockers before but that is usually me trying to hide them under OEM steel valve covers. Doesn't always work. Some you'll have to shim to get the tips over the valve stem properly but that's no big thing.
