From a guy like myself who LOVES B-Body cars and who has owned a few of them, that Road Runner is a REALLY sweet car!!! Like mentioned above, any pictures or more details on the car? I added a couple of pictures of some nice 69 Road Runners below for your enjoyment! Richard

Man, roadrunners look RIGHT in black. I'm kicking around between black and silver-green. Only thing kinda stopping me from doing black is I just spent ten years with a black Yukon and my wife has a black car.
Could be a good trade for you. Is the car in somewhat comparable condition to yours?

My best friend here in Phoenix ownes a 1969 Road Runner that his dad bought back in early 1970 after the original owner had traded it into a local Phoenix Plymouth dealer in trade for a new 1970 Cuda The car has been in his family ever since except for awhile when a family friend owned it. My buddy completely restored it back in 1989 or so and has put less than a hundred miles on the car since! *due to his nagging EX-wife ) It is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Its the dark green metallic with the rare factory painted top, done in the lighter Sea Foam Green. It has manual steering and brakes and has the high performance 383 engine, along with the heavy duty 4 speed transmission, and an 8.75 rear end with 3.91 gears. It also has the VERY COOL air Grabber hood option and the BEAUTIFUL dark and light green interior! I'd post pictures, but I don't have any digital pictures. All I can say is this, if the car your looking at is in good shape, do ANYTHING you can to get that sucker home and safe in your garagfe!!!! By the way, have you noticed what those cars are worth these days? Richard

Is it stock or well-modified? Or a basket case? Take time to REALLY look. Some things you might not notice right off the bat, try to take it for a long test drive and talk long. (testing reliability and checking for leaks) Make sure it's sound, correct (or in working order, whichever), and worth the money.
Mine was solid but a lot of things beyond are strange. I have a C-body radiator (keeps this little car nice and cool), A/C fan, but almost everything leaked. There are indentations in the subframe from the previous owner playing Dukes of Hazzard. It could have been slicker if his potential buyer wasn't in the car. (doubtful it was the only time though) And the headers are bad, dented and scraped. Keep an eye out for everything you can't think of if you are trading for a good car.
Market value is like 30 for 4 speeds restored, but 25 is general and as low as 15 can be seen for originals.
P.S. Mine is a factory WE2 Dark blue metallic car with white painted top, windshield pillars were blue. Currently has the top repainted back to blue as the car came in some wrong color.

im sure a RR is worth more than a dart, but there are very few b or e-bodies that i like, so unless it was just for a quick flip and make some cash, and the dart i had wasnt the dart i wanted, i woudlnt do it. but hey whatever makes you happy.

Better be sure it's what you really want to do. Maybe you can work something else out so that you can keep both. I'd hate to see you regret it later! JMO

Man, can't believe it took me so long to find this thread. I think you should trade the Charger instead. That Dart is your baby! I like b-bodies but you need at least one a-body around!

Well, owning both, I'd definatly have to say the Road Runner... BUT......
Only EARLY 68's. only way to go with the Road Runners, they only went downhill from there looks wise.
But I sure do miss my 70 dart. I don't miss the tight workspaces and the busted knuckes and loosening bolts 1/16th of a turn at a time.

It just depends on what you like the best. I sold my Dart to my son so I could get my 63 and I thought I would never sell my Dart as I really like Darts. But my true Mopar love was a Max Wedge era car and the 63 Ply was my favorite so I had to have this 63 when I got the chance. I just never thought I would be able to afford a Max Wedge era car. But Darts look good and make great race cars since they are lighter then most B-bodies. And I do agree the 69 Runner is one of the best looking Mopars ever. Ron
