i got a power buldge hood with my 67 dart 2 dr sedan, the frame was really rotten, haevy plate brazed on it, it was cracked. it was in really bad shape i figured id remove the sking and put it on a good frame, that didnt work as once i cleaned it up i realized the whole rear lip that faces the cowl was gone, so i made the decision to chop the buldges off the hood and tick them on this 67 dart hood that SIKPUP gave me. 67 dart hood, pay no attention to my dogs posing in the background, one is doing some of his finest work bludges cut out from other hood cut hole in 67 hood one side tacked in place filled the emblem holes up front both sides tigged solid layers upon layers of paint and primer and a few small dents removed

yeah i already welded the sides, i was going to wait till i put it on but on this hood there really wasnt any room for play the way it fit together. i think the buldge fro mthe coronet r/t hood would look cool on a dart like the hood eldubb did. i often think how it would work to make some glass buldges and glue them to a steel hood. i was never a fan of glass scoops on steel hoods but hey i guess you have to get creative when some of these hoods cost what they do. there is always the power buldge hood from AAR too, im a cheap ass so this wil lhave to do.

Wow, that looks great!
I have a friend looking for just the bulges like you received. He wants to do something along the same guidelines like you. He just doesn't want to wreck a perfectly fine GTS hood.
Any idea where to get a set?
Again, very nice work. You can hardly tell that it was a flat hood at one time!!

i gave it a coat of filler an dropped i toff friday when i picked my car up from paint. it didnt look too bad. cant wait to see it with paint. i was never into those hoods i always thought the flat hood looked so plain and simple, until the flat hood i have that i thought was perfect turned out to havebig ass dips all over it. it was like anywhere there was no bracing it was oil canning. as long as iowned it it never had a shine so i never noticed. i guess a lot of people sat on it through the years. i dont think im going to even try fixing it there is nothing to hold it rigid.

Well if you really like the flat hood...I'l trade you a nice one for the home-made bulge/hybrid hood you have - - I know deep inside you really just want a flat hood.

i would go up to the shop to visit my bud and check out the progress, once it had paint on it, i told them at the shop i think i liked it better before but i ruined it when i chopped the quarters off and started body work on all the other panels, it was all in primer it looked wierd. i really liked it when it was that tired old blue paint with al lthe top surfaces flaked off and surface rusty. i should have left it alone. my wife and i look at it and just keep saying, its not the same car. one of these days ill get some pics up. its not perfect but its nicer than i could ever imagine it.
