street lynx rear suspension
« on: July 23, 2008, 03:21:00 PM »

Anyone ever tried to tuck the axle up in the chassis? I'm just wondering if anyone who has this suspension could jack up the rear axle and see how far the axle can move up in the frame. I want to rest my frame on the ground(running a tire about 24" tall)

C- notch the frame.....That's a pretty short tire for the back of the car.  I dont have the Streetlynx but have a Tri 4 link and am notching the frame a little for a way low ride height. My rear tire is on order and is 27.2" tall.

Do you want a low ride height or just wanna set on the ground for a show???

I'm building it for a low ride height and being able to sit it on the ground.

You are probably gonna need to notch the rear frame above the axle.  As well as cut/cap the front subframe rails/torsion bar crossmember where it goes under the floor to have a super low ride height.........I am in this process right now.

Search Competition Eng for floaters; Then copy the weld-in one, only make it taller.
