Was working on some springs last night that I rescured out of my parts duster before it went off to the great crusher in the sky.
How in the world do you get the bushings out of the eyes at either end? Hyd press? That is all I can think of.
Are the a B*%CH to get out, and back in?
Thanks,
CE

You can press them out. I was able to get mine out relatively painlessly by setting them on their sides on the ground and putting a large 3/4" drive socket under it. The I gave it a few pounds with a BFH and a smaller socket. They slid right out.

I replaced them with the Poly-urethanes. I heat the eye bolt sleeve with a propane torch, push against it with a screwdriver and it shoots out across the yard. Pry out the old bushing with a screwdriver and replace them with the poly-urethanes. Takes about 10 min per.
