just wondering how well caltracs work with origional /6 springs. i plan on getting the split monos later. should i wait and put them on together, or will caltracs work good with the origional springs for now. also, speed way motors has a few different spring rate mono leafs (not split leaf) for less than half the price of calverts. is there any other mono leaf spring rate that will work (maybe not absolutly perfect) with caltracs? not trying to cut corners, just wondering.

I am getting ready to install Caltracs on some Espo +1 springs. Can't tell you what they would do on slanty springs, I removed mine 2 years ago because my bumper kept hitting the ground!!

Just my opinion, why not just do it right the first time? I have caltracs and the split mono's. They designed them to work with each other, so why not buy the products to make them work the best? I just called calverts and told them the body weight, tire size, and application, (Street/Race). They gave me the part number and I ordered them. I just wanted to do things right the first time instead or trying to make them work with an unknown combination. Just my 2 cents. Lucas

Caltracs like mushy worn out springs. If the spring doesn't move, the pivot at the front spring eye won't push down on the spring.
