Ok. Quick question. I want to put a newer alternator in my dart. it has the conversion and regulator. Now the question that i have is that I was in the junkyard today. I grabbed an alternator from a 1990 dodge b250 360 conversion van. I believe it is a nippendeso (sp?) and after i cut the wiring i realized that all the field wires and power wires are all on one molded wire that cannot seperate. Does anyone know if this would be just a plug and play alternator? That if i unbolt the wires there are the same numbers of wires as the one on my car. My reasoning for choosing this alt other than it is a mopar product, is that with all the crap this van had (bed, power bed, power windows, power seats, etc. etc.) it would equate with the msd, electric fan and relocated battery to keep enough juice to the battery.... thanks johnny boom

Thats what I use. The wires are the same with the exception of an added ground wire. BTW, it is NOT internally regulated.

Not sure how much good this pic will be to you. This was a no buck mounting effort when I had a junk 400 in there, I didn't have any b motor brackets and this is what resulted. I do remember that in the stock mounting location it is a very close fit at the rear where, unfortunately, the output stud is.
