I've got fenderwell headers (Hooker Super Comps) and they fit close to the bottome of the brake mastercyclinder. Has anyone found the need to add a heat shield to deflect the header heat from the M/C?

I put one under mine, but I'm not using fenderwells. I am using the late model aluminum m/c. Just bent up a piece of stainless and mounted it with the m/c studs and nuts.

I have one on my m/c. I made it with a bracket that bolts to the firewall bolts that hold on the m/c. I also have it covered in a heat insulation so it really reflects the heat.
