I wouldn't exactly call it a guide to building and SS/AA car, but it is good reading if you're interested in those cars. It is really, kind of a general overview, but I highly recommend it!

That guide was outdated the minute it hit the presses. Good bathroom reading, though. Those cars are literally Millionaires cars - the really competitive ones. They get replaced after a couple years because of all the new technology and design tricks coming out to build better chassis. And I won't even go into the stuff for the hemi motors... You better have half a million ready to burn just to gain entry into that club...never mind buying spare parts and the maintenance.

I was really looking forward to learning how Hurst put the things together when they delivered the book 2 days ago. I was very dissappointed in the material, 35.00 bucks down the drain. No specifics as to where the scoop goes, no info on the wheel wells, ect. I was bummed out. Money wasted unless you just want some cool general info about them.

I am building a 68 cuda from a shell. Might make a Formula S or hemi look-a-like. 383 powered, 727 or 4spd , and 4.30 geared 8-3/4. Front disk conversion done with volare parts and home modified upper control arms. Rear disks next using parts of 96 Grand Cherokee 4x4.
