Anyone here pinstripe?
« on: August 15, 2008, 11:20:25 PM »

Anyone into old school lettering and design? Just wondering what people use to keep the stripers soft. I read that Von Dutch used motor oil. I was thinking mineral oil. I'm starting the lettering on the car in Sept. I'm going for the 60s old school drag car look. This should be fun!

Mineral oil, also afterwards, wrap it loosely in tin foil..........keeps the bristles soft

Yep.  I have a set of Grumbacher brushes that are in mineral oil for years, on the rare occasion I take them out, they clean right up and work perfectly.
