Hate to do it, especially if I'm wrong cause I'm not the kind of person who goes out of the way to confront people. But I gotta throw out the bullshit flag on this one.

1. There is no helmet on the driver. Don't know that any track, however scary looking, would let anyone race without one.
2. There is so much dirt and crap all over I don't see how there could be traction for that kind of launch.
3. Like others have said, something about the pic doesn't look right. The car just doesn't look like cars react hooking up like that.

Anybody up in the Quebec area recognize this place? If I'm wrong I'll be the first to apologize...

Its obviously not a NHRA or IHRA sanctioned track, thats for sure. Is it possible to run without a helmet, yes, it used to be any car slower than 13's could run without a helmet, even today at some tracks. That dirt could be resin that they used to use as traction compound. They would sprinkle it on the track, then torch it, and it gets really sticky. Ever see any old footage, or pics, of when they did that? As far as the track, there was a feature on HOT Rod tv of a small little 1/8 mile track, that some old timer, has on his farm. Its down south somewhere, and its a shit hole, but the guy loves it, and it looks SCARY, as far as safety, and how close the 2 cars are, etc, like the above pic, that place also used the resin trick for traction compund, because it was WAAAAY cheaper than VHT. So, it is possible

Steve,
I was born in 1970, 5th month, you do the math, lol. I never personaly saw any of the resin stuff used, its before my time, but I guess I know a lot about a lot of stuff, I have a good memory, and thats something that I saw in vidoeps from old drag racing footage years ago.
