what gear oil to use?

ive got a sure-grip in my gf's dart with 3.23 gears. whats a better gear oil to use? 80w-90 or 85w-145? i put in the 145 but the car is up on stands cause im still workin on it.... also what aditive do i put in the oil? do i have to put any in? i had to for my auburn diff in my chally, but what about the old sure-grips?

use the additive.   i got it from the local ford dealer last time i needed it.

lol what aditive? the same aditive that i used with my auburn dif?? am i good on still using the 145??? lol

the 145 will be fine .... you need to ask for limited slip additive when you go to the dealer .... ether Mopar brand or Ford brand will work fine ..

the nubers are the weight or the viscosity of the oil ... the higher the number the thicker the oil ....

they are both viscosity #s .. one higher one is the cold viscosity # and the lower is the operating temperature viscosity ...
