I just brought my car back from the chassis shop. It has been mini-tubbed and has a narrowed rear. This car has gotten my blood flowing again. Last week I talked to the folks at Indyheads and they are bringing my engine to St. Louis Monster Mopar show. Can you guys answer a few Questions? 1. It looks much simpler to run manual disc and eliminate the huge booster as engine room is needed. (I have rear disc) How many of you guys run this set-up? 2. This car currently has power steering. If I went to manual steering would I need a different steering column with the absence of the power steering unit? The power steering unit is also large in a cramped area. . I also don't want the extra acessorie bracket. 3. If I use an engine based on the 400 block which torsion bars would be right? (mostly street) I am still not sure if I will buy the AlterK or scrounge up the used parts to do the brake swa

Looks good!
I would run manual discs and manual steering. Bill can hook you up with an adaptor to use you steering collumn. I'd go at least .890 on the torsion bars. Bigger if you aren't going to be racing it much.

Not sure what length the rear is but the tires are BF goodrich 295/50-15. the wheels are billet specialties 15x10 and maybe 4.5 back space. The engine coming from Indy is a 400 stroked to 470 dyno @ 610hp. I want the dyno sheet as that sounds like some high hp. Any suggestions on a trans and converter? Thanks for the help.

The rims are Billet Specialties Street Lites. I have some 15x4 for the front when I get the disc conversion finished. I will post more pics as time allows. Thanks for the compliments.

Can't believe how useless they are as far as value. I may keep them for a trailer. The color is an off-white and Dover is bright white I think. Called Bill today and will order the AlterK tomorrow if I get some details worked out.

I like my manual steering and manual brakes, even if the car only has an SB.

We have a 400 in my sons Dart and it has the original 318 torsion bars. It has been like this since we put a bigblock in it in 1997. It handles and drives fine and works good at the track. It has manual steering and manual brakes with factory front disc. All you need to do with the steering is instal and adapter as thats what I did with my 63. The P/S box is larger so the P/S shaft is shorter and the adapter I used bolts right up. Ron
