Hello: Well here is the story....cruising the net I came across the PAW Site, now several years ago I ordered some stuff from them, out of their huge catalog. I guess I just liked the catalog . Soo when I seen that if you placed an order you would get a new catalog shipped with order free. I wanted a catalog and I just happened to need a set of rod bearings for a 383 sitting under a bench. Their on line catalog listed the rod bearings with a picture of boxes that said "Clevite 77" and various bearing shells. The disclaimer says"image may not reprensent actual product appearence" However the part number appeared to be a Clevite number. So I popped for a set of them. What I got was not "Clevite 77", I got an opened box with the bearings out(though still sealed in plastic) the box said "King Bearings". Well that just cranked me up and I called them. After 1 lost call (hang-up or mysterious disconnect) I finally got back to my orginial caller. He told me that Customer Service would call me as he had all the neccessary information. About 15 minutes later "Bob" from customer service called. He tried to smooth it over saying the "King Bearings" were very good and they used them in "Hemi Motors". However I persisted and told him I would not use them and I wanted "Clevite 77". Well guess what, BOB just happened to have a set that I needed and would do a swap for the"King Bearings". So I got my catalog and unwanted bearings that now are going to cost me more. But I doubt that I will do future business with PAW. I just can't trust outfits that use the old "bait and switch" routine. Sorry about the length but thought you might like to know. "67dartgts" Maynard

I ordered their catalog, but when i went to order some stuff, I called on the phone and they were telling me prices higher than the catalog for all of items. I told them to forget it and ordered from Summit and Mancini.

those guys arent as well organized as the others, at least over at summit or jegs, your ordering by the brand. PAW is really a last resort if no one else has got the part.

There ya go again ,Maynard, next thing you know you'll be gettin the poor folks at PAW hauled away in handcuffs by the FBI , just like poor ole Dave Layson . Don't you know what a devastation your bias can have on the Mopar Parasitic Sales Community Yeah , maybe you're what we need ,,, the Mopar Police,,yeah Investigator Andersen Sic em , Maynard !!! I have been tempted by their lure,,,spent many an hour dreaming thru their catalogue ,,, was always gonna ask braintrust if anybody has had any experience with them ,,,,they tempted me with 273 parts ,,not many offerings of those by anybody these days !!! I don't see their prices as being any cheaper than anybody else' ? Their stroker kits & long blocks were sure affordable though,,hmmm. ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) They'll probably have to file Chapter 11 now that the Mopar Police have them under surveillance Mopar Tom

I've bought from them in the past. Their prices are in line with everyone elses on most items and I don't remember haveing any "customer service" related issues either. Thet have name brand stuff and generic stuff sold under their own names. Kind of like the Harbor Freight of auto parts. They used to have a very good selection of early Hemi parts (seperate catalog) if thats of interest to anyone.
Their website sucks. Gotta get the catalogs. They charge you for them then refund the price when you order parts.

Hello: Mopar Tom: you did it again .....an electrical problem?? And you rectified it... Thin White Duke: "King" bearings may be just fine and thats well and good, however I have no experience with them, and it was not what I was expecting to get. After all these years of using "Clevite" I just don't want to experment with unknown bearings. Thanks Maynard
