gonna be movin in the springs with the mopar kit. i also have the mopar brace welded on the back of the housing. ive been looking and it seems like when i move the springs in the shocks are going to hit the weld on brace. anyone have this prob?

You can either notch and box the backbrace, or swap the lower shock plates and remount the shocks in front of the rearend. You'll have to weld a cross member in though to mount the shocks that way.

i was planning on using the caltracs so the plates would they be interchangable? could i just cut and weld in a new cross member back 1/2 or 1'' back to provide the clearance? what size bar would you recomend to put in?

If you look at your picture, it doesn't look like you can put in a crossmember an inch behind the stock location without cutting out the floorpan.
I would either use a peice of 1 5/8" MS roll cage tubing and weld in a tube that the bolt goes through. Or you could use a piece of 2x3 .125" wall tubing and mount vertically. Then you'd have to cut a portion out to insert the top of the shock. Then just run a through bolt through it. Tom gave me that idea.
Does any of this make sense?
I think it'd be easier to clearance the backbrace since you could do that out of the car on a bench.
