I'm in the process of doing this now on my 75 dart. It's currently at the body shop getting painted. The real reason is because I went to fiberglass bumpers and had to make custom brackets anyway. What I eneded up doing was taking some 1" square tubing and cutting it to the contour of the inner part of the fiberglass bumper. Then putting rubber washers inbetween the metal and the fiberglass to hopefully keep it from cracking the fiberglass. It took some time and it doesn't exactly look perfect, but who is going to see it. I don't have any pics right now. But it is possible and I believe that it looks much much better with the bumper tucked in tight. Lucas

Take the impact brackets and take them apart, cut the metal off and weld them back together where you want them.
