Gold leaf is an artform, not something you can buy online.
What you can do is go to a sign shop locally and tell them what you are looking for, there are some films that have the 3D machine turned look, they make the stuff in silver, gold, and some tinted colors.

Yeah, you need some experience to get that down. Look for a good body shop or find a helmet painter in your area.

Hi, I have an old Metalflake catlatogue that shows the use of a self adhesive Foil looking media, that came on a roll in a variety of widths that would serve my purpose. There were several desings they called 'Spectrim', 'Beta' & '3-D' that came in various metalic colours. Agreed that Gold leafing is a specialist task, but would anyone know if the above it still available - cant seem to get on to the Metalflake website  Thanks

I've used the Bare-Metal foil on plastic models. It works well but I don't know how durable it would be in a automotive application. http://www.bare-metal.com/ Willie

i think that is 4 bb chevy motors. I also seem to rember this was a drag car and the wagon body was added later
