I understand they have a dyno progam for $13 thats gives accurate m.p.h., h.p. and e.t. readings. anyone have more info or maybe willing to drop the $13 and do a test for us? I think i would buy one if they work well and all the other features would just be a bonus.

I have an iPhone, which does the same thing plus phone service. I've seen the app you're talking about and will be getting it. Problem is I have no numbers for my dart. I can use manufacturer numbers for the focus or the ranger though, to see how accurate it is. The reviews for it seem to indicate that it works well. I'm posting right now from my iPhone, so when i get back to the hotel I'll see if I can't post more about it.

Your PC will work. I don't own a Mac. Everything for the iTouch/iPhone is done through iTunes, which installs to PC or Mac. You can use iTunes for backups and synching things like Music and Apps. Since I don't have an iTouch, I'm making some assumptions at how it will work, but it should be identical to the iPhone as far as Apps are concerned. You just plug it into your PC through the USB cable and iTunes (once installed) will see it and give you options on what you want to do with it, such as Synch apps, music, etc. You will have all of the same functionality through a PC as you would through a Mac, I believe. Especially since iTunes is the portal to your iTouch throuh either the PC or the Mac. iTunes is a free download, so you can download and install it to see what it's like from that end of things. It also functions as a music player and video player, so it is useful without an iTouch. Apple can be annoying in some departments however. If you are big into music, and I consider myself a big music fan, I will NEVER buy music throuh iTunes. Apple likes to do this "anti stealing" thing called DRM (digital rights management) where if you buy music from the iTunes music store, you can only transfer that music to somethin like 5 different PC's. I'm not saying I steal my music. But if I paid for that music, I want it to be easy to transfer to another machine that I own if I need to. Mostly thats just one of my beefs with it. This has no effect on your use of the Dynolicious application. There's a "download itunes 8" at the bottom of this page: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ It will automatically detect your operating system and give you a link to download the right installer for itunes if you're interested. Let me know if you have other questions. I'll be getting that app next week (don't trust the hotel network connection and won't be home until next week). - Don

Oh yeah, if you're a big technology kind of guy, the iTouch will be a blast for you. If you're getting it just for the dyno program, I've read the reviews that say it's definitely worth it compared to the very expensive, dedicated "in-car" dyno devices. But I'm not sure how much I'd be willing to pay for it just for the dyno program. Basically, i just don't want to be the guy that told you to get it and then you're not happy with it. Anyway, I'll let you know what the results are of my using the app. Hopefully i'll be able to get you some results next week or so. - Don
