My friend Meagan invited me to her roomates 25th birthday party a few weeks ago. I did not know many people there so somehow the conversation defaulted to cars. Her roomates brother said that his cousin had some Demon parts and introduced me to him. I ended buying a complete '72 Demon 340 front clip with snorkel scoop for $400. Kind of crazy considering I have a clean '70 Dart that needs a front clip.

I know where there is a BMW Isetta, don't know what year, but it's a complete car. I just saw a beautiful restored one in PA this afternoon and got me to thinking about the one an aquantance has. It has the front door that opens up the whole front of the car. It's in MD, want me to ask about it? Joe.

Sure.......but all the way out in Maryland.  Damn....the shipping would really hurt.  I'm not looking for something to restore, but something to "cut up" and turn into a 60's styled altered gasser.

Not really too frightening.  In my vision, your looking at the back of the car in the above pic.  Open engine up front, a "track T" nose with radiator.  Do a bit of tubbing to put a rear end under there, maybe hang some VW fenders to get the cheater slicks inside.  It couldn't be any worse than a Fiat Topo with a big block Chevy in front of it.

Yeah, I know.    That's why I'm keeping my eyes open for a low-dollar candidate.  Keep watching Ebay, but those things are going for 3-5 grand for a parts car.  I just can't afford or justify paying that amount for something I plan on modifying a lot........and I won't hack up a good resto candidate.

I'll still ask about the one I know. But, it's in pretty good shape and may run and drive. Many years ago I saw an add for one for sale with a SBC in it. I never went to look at it and wondered how he did it, Joe.
