I went to the little Mopar swap meet with a friend who just bought a '64 Valiant. He needs some parts. It's a tiny little swap meet held in the parking lot of a bowling alley. We looked at all the parts and stopped to talk to some people and we were still done in 45 minutes.
First thing I see is a shark tooth grille, which I have wanted for a long time. It's got some cracks, but not terrible. I could use it as-is without being ashamed. With the cracks fixed, it will be very nice. $220. Sure, I would like to pay less, but those things ain't cheap these days.
Met Dominic (aka Vitamindart) there and he pointed out a pair of buckets from an early Dart. They are in very poor shape, but that's ok because we're just looking for the frames and we'll get foam and covers for them. $25. He was pleased with that.
Now I need to make two posts - one about the seats from a Dart vs. the seats in a Valiant, and one about crack repair. I remember something about crazy glue and baking soda...

I agree the sharkstooth grill is a vast improvememt over the standard Duster grill. I have used a product called Q-bond that is like crazy glue with a powder bonding agent. The stuff is crazy strong and has held on every repair so far. Not cheap though.

I bought a shark tooth grill years ago that was cracked and missing pieces and after hogging out the cracks and fitting pieces in from a standard duster grill to fix the missing pieces in the shark tooth I used JB weld on the back. I ground down the JB weld smooth on the outside and smeered a little bondo and it never gave me any problems. It was driven daily even in cold weather.
