Dart vs. Valiant bucket seats?
« on: September 21, 2008, 04:37:51 PM »

A friend bought two buckets from a '65 Dart. He wants to buy new foam and covers and put them in his '64 Valiant Signet 200.

Are the seat frames the same?

Also, is the rear seat the same in a Dart as in a Valiant? (The reason for this question - if he has to use Dart upholstery, he could also cover the rear seat in Dart upholstery and they would at least match)

I will check with Legendary before we buy foam and covers just to make sure, but I thought I might get an answer here in the meantime.

Thank you,
Mark

Those are 66-67 a-body buckets with aftermarket upholstery. They are different than 64-65 buckets (which may or may not be the same - never owned one earlier than 66 - well except for a few hours).

The rear seats are diffrent, the dart has a longer wheelbase than a valiant and I believe that is why they are diffrent, not sure on the front seats though

Thanks! It looks promising for the front seats being the same because Legendary uses the same foams for both seats, and they LOOK like they are the same except upholstery.

This means we should be able to use Valiant covers for everything, and that's good.  Smiley
