Possible 65 Dart Owner
« on: September 23, 2008, 05:10:48 PM »

I found a car in pretty decent shape. Slant 6 car that i want to put a small block in and I see schumachers makes the mounts for it..

What about a spring relocation kit? How big of a tire can I fit back there.. I want the car to have the look of a Pro Streeter to an extent but be a driver...

Is this year ok to work with or should I go to the 67-72 style... I really like the looks of the little car...

go for it!  I like my little 66 early A.

I or someone here might have some smallblock mounts for way cheaper than the Schu's.

Shouldn't be a big deal to use the MP relo kit.

Keep us posted

I have a 65 that had a /6/904 . I moved the leaf springs inboard; am tubbing it right now and I have 13.5 wide street slicks for her with about an inch of clearance on each side. I'm probably going with a 360 motor with a 727. Not sure yet. Depends on my front suspension options.

I used the 7/8th's offset front perch and rear shackles , and I have 255's in there with room to spare.

These cars look great with a tire under them... Now I will have to see how low it will go with the big tires...

Hey Tubtar; I hadn't noticed until this post that you have a really nice 65'. Do you have some pics somewhere in a public site I can view? (Webshots; Photobucket; etc.)
