15 ohms full

90 ohms empty

Hey thanks for the quick reply, guess I'll have to open up the resistor again, damm 180 bucks new. I guess at 11-66 it won't read the fuel level right, and there's not a trim pot on the guage either, is there?

no trim pot on the gauge .... I  would like to suggest that you ditch the stock instrument voltage regulator for a modern electronic one, it has been the cause of more problems with fuel gages than I can remember.  The 11 and 66 should read full but not go all the way to empty

Factory specs are 9 or 10 to about 73 ohms. You should be in the ball park. An ohm or two isn't going to make a huge difference. With the sender out of the car and a ohm meter, it's pretty easy to check the calibration.

Yes, i have it out, and took it apart, at first it didn't read anything, guess it lasted pretty good ro a 61 Dodge! I have a new filter sok and float, I see what happens.

On a side note, 68 Val Sedan, the political thing is a political thing, America first is all I ask, that's why we can have a forum like that, and if I ever see ya broke down on the side of the road, Ya can be sure I'll stop and hand ya a beer and get Ya going.
