Replacing front brake lines of the 67 Dart and brake ?s
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:33:48 PM »

Hey gang, I am replacing the front brake lines on my 67 dart, which was originally a /6 car, non power drum brakes. Now disc brakes and a 340 car.

I was thinking of buying those NAPA do it your self brakes lines and fitting them. Anyone had any experience with those. They would be a lot cheaper or do you guys like the done and fitted lines and if so, which ones.

Also, I have the original master cylinder, dial reservoir. Any suggestions on upgrades on this or adding a power unit?

First, replace that old M/C. The pre-flanged lines are  good, especially if you don't have the tools.
But you will need a cheap tubing bender. And 3/8"/ 7/16" line wrenches.

I would suggest to use the Teflon steel braided lines up front. They wont balloon like the rubber ones when they get old, take up less room and look a whole lot nicer.
RMS sells them and they are almost the same price as new rubber ones.
