Almost immediately after setting my car on the ground with the fresh motor and not fresh trans installed I noticed an oil leak. I was praying it was transmission fluid and it was but I had to get the trans out of there so I did not get my clutch wet. I finally got time to pull the trans out last Sunday and this is what I found: Cracked front bearing retainer at the lower bolt right next to the drain back port. I decided to replace it with one of the billett steel units from Brewers performance. It cost $106 with shipping but well worth the extra expense knowing the collar won't crack like the stock units nor will it crack at the bolt holes. Here's the trans ready to go back in after I decided to clean it up and hit it with some primer and aluminum high temp paint. I may take it for a spin up the street and get some video this weekend.

My car looks sick? I guess I'll have to take that as a severe compliment coming from the owner of a hemi orange hemi dart, now that car is flippin sick....sweet! It's funny that the retainer that had the crack was another one my buddy had lying around because the collar was snapped off on my original one. The second one leaked almost immediately and we did not notice the crack prior to installation so it must have cracked as I was torquing the bolts down.

You guys gave any videos of them hemi darts in action??
My barracuda is a small block so I'm a little underleagued here but it's my first project and has plenty of power for a 360 cubed motor.
I do have a 71 swinger, and just may put a big block in that one some day.
