Going a diffrent route with the /6
« on: September 29, 2008, 05:02:01 PM »

going to go blow through turbo intercooled 4v... Started thinking of the headaches of modding the dart for a v-8 and dicided to do the turbo thing to it.... I am only shoting for a high 11 out of it and have seen on the net it has been done many of times..

I will post up pictures of my progress as it comes along..

That is a pretty kickass idea.  I always wanted to put a 2.2/2.5 turbo on mine for something a little different.  Do it and keep us updated...

there was a guy at carlisle 4or5 years back had a /6 with a turbo and a modified jeep 4.0L fuel injection set up on it. used a crank trigger for the timing. looked real interesting.

have fun

Turbo on a six is a super easy setup.  You may want to really step it up and multi port it.  It'll run better and you won't be faced with mixture problems stemming from the wide intake manifold.  Check out Clifford.  They make cool six stuff.

That's an interesting choice - might get decent mileage too. /6's are tough so longevity shouldn't be an issue - keep us up on the progress...
