Anybody have one or use one of these often?
I'm looking for pros and cons of their use. I might be able to get one at a reasonable price. It would probably end up in my garage.

You mean the flat one that comes up like an X and lifts the car about 40"? I have one. It's packed away because I have nowhere to use it, but I love it and can't wait to get a real garage and bust it out again. It's great for doing brakes, under dash work, detailing, body.... You know... Just no good for getting at the trans or exhaust. I actually used to use it to wash and detail my truck.

I have one and love it. BUT.... mine has had the hyd. cylinder rebuilt in the past, the threads at the top that hold the seal in place are stripped. I can't find replacement cylinders anywhere for it. I figured it would be cheaper to buy one than getting mine fixed. When it work, I used it alot. Washing cars, wheels, oil changes, and I even made a little ramp for it. The ramp lets me drive my riding mower up onto it, then back up the truck, then drive the mower onto the bed of it. No need to find a bank or ramps to try to load it. ( only need to unload it at my destination.)
