I put the jaguar hayden clutch fan on the dart and used a c-body fan on it. Had as much clearance as the non-clutch fan set up. I rev it up to do my burnout and the fan blades flexed forward and caught the radiator. It was the motor was pretty cold and it was cold out and I figure that the clutch fan must have let it spin pretty high rpm. Didn't have this issue with the other fan as it was a heavier steel fan that weighed a lot. I am having the radiator repaired and obviously I am going to move it forward some but wondered what you guys have bought and where happy with. I was just going to by the summit brand as it seems as good as any others. I am really not interested in an electric right now as I have enough items drawing off the electric system as it is now.
fan to radiator clearance should be no less than 1". l always liked the fans with the steel frames and the big stainless steel blades that flatten out at high rpm.
