stretching front wheelwell
« on: October 02, 2008, 03:29:11 PM »

Has anyone stretched the front fender lip in order to run a taller tire?  Any pics or advice?

My goal is to have the ability to run a 27-28" tire up front to help with roll-out at the track.

Yeah , my old steel fenders were nipped a little at the back.

Did you just cut them, or did you take a section of metal out and re-weld the arch?  It looks good.  What size tire were you running.

I want to run a 205/75/15.

They neatly cut back to clear my Moroso 27" x 3.5" x 15" front runners . From what I recall the trim went up around 6" or so.

I run 28" front runners on my 69 Dart and nothing catches.
