Similar situation just happened here in Cleveland 2 weeks ago. An old man heard someone in his shed. He went outside with his gun and told them to stay put until the police came. The burglar tried to ecape over a fence, then came towards the man. He was shot and killed. There were no charges filed. The ole boy did what he had to do to protect himself and his property.

Yea we had similar one here in Memphis, the home owner told police the guy came at him with his weed eater, so he shot and killed him! no charges filed.

Too funny. A few years ago my son was shot in the chest with a BB gun in a drive-by -- he was only 12-13 years old at the time. He told me what happened and gave me a good description of the car and what street it had turned down. Got in the truck and headed down that street and low and behold found the car parked in front of a house. I called 911 and the dispatcher said she'd have someone there as soon as possible...yeah, right. I waited about 5 mins and called back and told them I hear shots being fired in the house's back yard -- the dispatcher asked if I was armed -- I told her "Not yet". She told me to stay put and within 30 seconds I could hear all kinds of sirens coming. Within about 2 minutes I had 3 police cars with 6 cops on site -- the suspects were all 16-17 year olds -- the shooter was charged with aggrevated assault, a felony. Dumb ass. My son still has the BB lodged between two ribs -- doctors decided it wasn't going to hurt anything leaving it there. He'll never be able to go through a MRI.

When I hear stories like this, it reminds me of him.
