I just came in from scouting my property...deer signs everywhere!I'm getting one this year!Not sure if I'm gonna use my bow or rifle though...

I've been out 3 times so far. No shooting oportunities but have seen deer everytime. Bow season started 3 weeks ago in Georgia. Rfle starts in two week with a 12 deer limit,2 buck/10 does.
I have deer out back the house everyday but their pets.

I'll be looking for deer,turkey,pheasant and quail...I've had rabbit but not squirrel...how is it and how many make a meal?

Squirrel hunting is fun, especially if you hunt in pairs. I always give away the ones I kill. I dont eat the little tree rats so I couldnt tell you how its tastes. I was always told they have to be fixed just right or its real gamey, so I've never bothered trying to eat them. I think it takes 3 or 4 decent sized ones to actually make a meal for one person.

I have already seen a lot of deer and turkey. I was going to my moms the other day and came around a curve and counted about 16 turkeys in the road.   |

I was supose to go moose hunting for the week starting today but I didn't get a tag this year in the lottery system, anyway I only have a calf tag.Also since I worked on my Barracuda all summer my  said it was time to do the chores I have been putting off with the house like the drywalling and painting of our main floor.It's only 1300 square ft.I'm going to give sh&%t and maybe I will be finished before the end of the week so I can get out for some partridge. |

My dad and I are going elk hunting in New Mexico in a few weeks, and some buddies and I are going squirrel hunting just up North the weekend after next. I can't wait!  |
