I was wonder what is involved in converting a car that had power brakes to manual brakes. My booster is shot and I want to put fenderwell headers on it. So I am wondering what is involved, or what do I need to get to convert it. Thanks.

You need a manual brake pushrod. Some master cylinders don't cover the hole in the firewall completely so you may need to use the cover that's part of the power booster bracket. The brake lines will either need to be bent to fit or new lines obtained.

And don't forget the stupid little rubber washer that holds the pushrod in the master cylinder. Don't ask me how I know. ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif)

There should already be a cover with your power brake booster bracket. You'll see it when you get things apart. I think you can buy an adjustable rod, but I don't know where. You might be able to find a stock one in a wrecking yard. The rubber grommet that holds the rod in comes with new master cylinders.
