Ok, I just ordered a set of Super Stock Springs from Summit for my 72 Dart Swinger that I am putting a 400 in. Well anyways I got them today and I noticed that the RH spring has 6 leafs and the LH has 5, why is this??? I wasnt to impressed with the finish on them either! I will have to paint them myself so they look decent.

The torque of the engine is trying to lift the right rear tire off the ground. Thats why cars without a limited slip usually spin the right tire.

Yes, engine torque. Mine have 4 main leaves each, with 2 half leaves facing forward on the passenger side, and 1 half leaf facing rearward on the drivers side.

Ok, Thanks guys. I just didnt know if they messed up and sent me something wrong. I expected the finish to be a little nicer in them..........I love how they show nice shiny black springs in the pic. and you get dull crappy ones that look like they were painted with a marker.

I've bought springs from Mancini and PST and they all needed to be sanded and painted.

I prefer flat back for most of my suspension parts that way no1 around here see's what i have.
But on my SS springs i have the same amount of leafs on both sides except my driver side has more arc into it.
