Swiching to '73-'76 drag link.....can I still use my '67 lower control arms???
« on: March 25, 2006, 12:28:01 PM »

Hello all,

I know many have done this swap.  Here is my dilema.  I now have a '73 K frame modified to fit my 451 and I have the centerlink, manual steering gear, pitman and idler arms.

The '73 joints all point toward the ground.  My '67 ball joints point toward the hood.  This would create a monstrous 'bump steer" issue. \/][

SOOOO,  what is the fix???

Thanks in advance,
thank you

What spindles are you using, the 67s or 73s?

I know that the outer tie rod ends on the 73-up mount to the end of the ball joint from the under side and point up and I 99% sure that so do the 72 and older ones too.

I don't believe there is a difference in the lower ball joint besides the spacing of the spindle holes. The tie rods all angle downward to the outside.
