I know many have done this swap. Here is my dilema. I now have a '73 K frame modified to fit my 451 and I have the centerlink, manual steering gear, pitman and idler arms.
The '73 joints all point toward the ground. My '67 ball joints point toward the hood. This would create a monstrous 'bump steer" issue.
I know that the outer tie rod ends on the 73-up mount to the end of the ball joint from the under side and point up and I 99% sure that so do the 72 and older ones too.
I don't believe there is a difference in the lower ball joint besides the spacing of the spindle holes. The tie rods all angle downward to the outside.
