I used a cut-off wheel then remade the lip.

I'm moving my leaf springs/rear end back 1.5 inches. I have a rust free Nevada 68 dart and there is no way that I'm going to cut on those quarter panels Shocked

While that does work good on Darts the way the rear lower part of the 1/4's on the Dusters are you can't move the rear-end back with-out hitting them. Undecided

For my swinger,  I cut the pie shape out of the front of the wheel lip; then used reproduction chrome moldings to cover the surgery.  It looks stock, and I gained over an inch.

My paint was finished when I did it, so I was really nervous, but I put blue masking tape on the paint, marked it and cut it with a fine tooth jigsaw.   Maybe not the best, but you wouldn't know it by looking.

This way it took me less than an hour for both sides...

That seems like the advice I was given...mark an inch from the edge and then mark an inch from that point, mark a point just below the body line and draw both marks to that point, cut out the pie shape and tap over to join the pieces...tack weld the seam...

the only problem I have is that I'd have to add a piece, because once I take a section out the rocker panel at the cuts won't meet correctly...
