kickdown linkage info needed
« on: May 28, 2009, 10:47:00 PM »

I have some questions regarding the kickdown lever on a 727 trans.  Huh If u dont have a kickdown linkage from the carb and want to lock it 2/3 open, would that be 2/3 forward(facing front of car), or the opposite way? My other ? is, my kickdown shaft doesnt have a lever on it, but it seems like when i move it by hand it is loose , like by moving it it doesnt feel it isnt connected to anything.   Also too, by not having it hooked up can this cause a trans to slip?  thank u.

the lever pushes towards the rear of car when the accelerator is pushed.
FIX IT
you will fry your trans, even with it rigged 2/3 of the way open
