I don't think so.   The things appear to bolt onto the lugs.  Let's see, both ends have the ability to rotate, so the balance could be upset at either end.  Now we have the problem of rotation available in two axis up front.  Nope.....too many ways to have that thing roll over on you while working on it.

I have seen a web site where the fella shows how he built them. You could probably do a search for 65 barracuda and come up with the site as that is how I found it.
Yes it do's look fairly unstable, but I do imagine one could tie off to the ceiling or add some sort of prop to stabalize.I know I have personally put myself in more of a precarious position than this. hammer

Wow that's clever, but being an engineer there is no way I would trust that.  If it works for you good, but oh no not me!

Seems similar to this one:

I wouldn't use it.

That is what we have at our dealership to promote the undercoating they sell.    We have cars sitting on those on display for weeks at a time.  Before I got my licence and was an apprentice it was my job to put the car up on display.   There is an attachment for the engine hoist and you just jack it up and it rolls over.  It was scary, I would not want to work under it personally.  Every time I lifted I held my breath wondering if it was going to hold, you could watch it flex! But, we have cars on it for weeks at a time and in 10 years we have never had a problem.

I've seen them like that made out of plywood also.  I wouldn't sleep under one but it is a good way to work on a shell in a tight area.  I'm talking just the unibody with no doors/glass etc.  Just sheetmetal and frame stubs.

There was one like that available commercially back in the 70s-80s.    I saw it at a couple of trade shows.   The guy even had it motorized and it would roll a vehicle over very easily.   He often had a complete F150 mounted to it.  It was part of his regular display, so he had it drained of all fluids, but it made a good point as to how effective it was.   I would trust a well made one...

Yes you can find them in dealerships all over the place.
They do use them to promote undercoating and stuff. They are in there for months at a time. Neat idea.
