Topic: aligment question (adjustable strut rods) (Read 553 times)

Hey guys, I am getting an alignment on my 68 Dart this week, I have adjustable strut rods, Will the guy doing the work now how to adjust them or do I have to bring the Car in with them set to factory length? Thanks

i would set them at factory length and only use them for fine tweaking the castor if needed. if you use the struts for setting caster it will put the lower control arm in a pretty good bind.

I just installed them as well, and I am going over to have the alignment checked later this week. It was set not long ago, so I am mainly going to make sure I haven't moved anything since I put them on. I'll tell you one thing, between the strut rods and the 90/10 shocks, the front end comes up right now when you hit the throttle.

Hey Guys Not to steel your thread but what brand of strut rods are you using.I saw some the other day with a pivot on one end is this the kind you are talking about.I can't seem to locate them again.I thought it was somebody who advertised here or one of the members.JEDS

i'm using firm feel pieces and i'm very happy with them. i consider them a must bec i'm also using poly lca bushings. when i went in for alignment i easily got 3.5 degrees pos. caster.
