gear vendors shorty kit

noticed they had one listed on the site. called them and got the "it will fit with no fab work needed" speech. has anybody had any issues with them? my tans guy has told me that he will not build another trans with one, the last 2 customers went thru 6 gv units before giving up. i asked him what was going on and he said they were just grenading. one was on a diesel excursion and the other was on a 350 hp street car. any input ould be appreciated....
