air con questions
« on: December 31, 2005, 02:56:14 PM »

I was thinking about putting aircon in the 71 Demon, will later model (73-74) controls fit? it's non AC car now. I was thinking of useing the entire under dash assembly, can this be mated to an aftermarket compressor? or should I just get an entire aftermarket system?

I've been looking into A/C for my 67 Valiant while you can peice together just about anything. For the cost and work I thing a complete aftermaket set-up is the way to go. I'm planning on using a Vintage Air set-up.

Thanks for the links, I didn't realize how affordable the systems are, makes sense to go with new stuff.

The aftermarket units use lighter more efficient compressors and you would also have a system where all components are matched and designed for the R134a refrigerant.
