What is a typical bumper rechoming price? (Don't want to get taken)

I need to get the bumpers on my '83 Imperial rechromed.  What is the typical price for a good rechrome job ( not show chrome)?  BTW, at least the front bumper is aluminum and not sure about the rear and I'm not sure if that makes a difference.  I'm going to check out a couple local shops Saturday morning, but I want to see if their pricing is decent as I don't want to overpay for a service I can get cheaper elsewhere.

There is a standard book cost for doing bumpers- my darts are supposed to be $355 each.  The body shop cost is $285.  I think a great deal is $250.   Why bother doing less than show chrome.  Inferior chrome peels off from what I've learned.  If you are near Chicago I have a great recommendation.  E-mail me.

I had my front bumper done last year for $230 at Classic Chrome in Largo, Florida. They did a beautiful job on it.
