changing front door glass
« on: May 13, 2006, 05:00:08 PM »

Someone broke into my 73 4 door dart this past weekend by smashing the passenger side front door glass. I have another window from a 71 parts car. I cant figure out how to get the glass out of the donor door. Have any of you ever done this? Any help would be appreciated.

have you removed the trim panel yet?

anyways when that is off you need to position the window so you can see/wrench the 2 bolt heads that hold it to a horizontal bar that goes up and down when you use the regulator.

then one of the tracks has to be loosened to get room to remove glass from track this is usually easier when the window is low in the door.
